Apple's delayed HomePod smart speaker has received FCC approval ahead of its release. Described as an Apple Inc. Wireless Speaker, the HomePod has a model number of A1639.
Originally scheduled for released in December, the Apple smart speaker is now expected to launch in early 2018. We don't have a specific date as of yet but FCC approval suggests that it may arrive soon.
Earlier this week, Inventec, one of two HomePod suppliers, reportedly began shipping the smart speaker to Apple. The initial shipment is said to be about 1 million units.
We'll let you know as soon as the HomePod is available to order. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.
