Following the launch of pre-orders for the iPhone X this morning, Apple has issued a statement declaring customer demand 'off the charts'.
We are thrilled to be taking orders for iPhone X, the future of the smartphone. We can see from the initial response, customer demand is off the charts. We’re working hard to get this revolutionary new product into the hands of every customer who wants one, as quickly as possible. We will keep accepting orders online, and iPhone X will be available at Apple retail stores on Friday, November 3 starting at 8 a.m., as well as from our carrier and retailer partners around the world.
Shipping estimates for the new flagship smartphone have already slipped to 5-6 weeks less than 12 hours into pre-orders. Apple says there will be supply for walk-in customers on November 3rd but you better line up early!
Iphone X spare parts price list (apple official)
Broken back glass: $549 + tax
LCD (part made of backglass similar glass and OLED LCD is cheaper ;)) $279 + tax
Button (any of the 4 ones): $549 + tax
Microphone: $549 + tax
Flash light: $549 + tax
The good news is that you perfectly working LCD, Logic board will be destroyed in order to collect micrograms of precious metals.... or so apple claim that.
Of course all of us are idiots and we don't know that they reuse this parts in your $549 + tax repair.
It’s wonderful until the non 1% break the screen and have to fork out $259 - $549 even with insurance to fix it. That’s ridiculous sorry. Doesn’t mean I’m not getting one. I still want it!
I can't wait to see customers complain about QA issues will be hilarious. This is a rushed product to market and first gen Oled for Apple.
FYI I secured mines at launch.
Oh it’s a great phone for sure, but other than a diff display and the front camera, nothing is special about it compared to the 8 Plus. Most people get the phone so other people know they have the phone. That’s the world we live in today.
