Apple is planning to make changes to the earpiece on the next generation iPhone, according to a new research note from JPMorgan. The iPhone 8 is said to feature an 'enhanced receiver' with 'further improvements' to stereo sound and waterproofing.
With the launch of the iPhone 7, the earpiece (receiver) doubles as a speaker giving you stereo sound. Presumably, the new speaker in the iPhone 8 will be louder and could be sufficiently waterproof to meet the IP68 water resistance rating rumored for the new smartphone.
JPMorgan also claims that the iPhone 8 could come with AirPods instead of EarPods; however, that's quite unlikely considering there is still a 6 month shipping estimate on the wireless earphones five months after their release. (Or pay a premium on Amazon)
Notably, a separate JPMorgan analyst (Rod Hall, USA), claims that Apple could preview the iPhone 8 at WWDC in June. That also seems very unlikely; however, Apple could be looking to get ahead of leaks and prepare developers for a new OS and display size.
Not many people have $1000 to lay out. Trust me when IPhone releases a new edition you don't have to see the announcement on this site. It will be on every tv announcing it. But jailbreaks has to be searched out to get it. So rich boy, if you did not live in your mama's basement you also would be jailbreaking your old IPhone
