With true omni-directional performance, and an entirely new acoustic design, Revolve speakers spread deep, jaw dropping sound in every direction -- from a seamless aluminium design.
“When SoundLink first hit the market, it took the industry by storm," said Glenn Gomes-Casseres, director of products for Bose wireless speakers. “We didn’t want to make small improvements to the audio that made it famous. We wanted the difference to be so dramatic, that it would take just one song to hear the best sound you’ve ever heard from a little speaker -- all over again.”
Bose says it developed an entirely new acoustic package then matched it with a cylindrical single piece aluminum enclosure. The speakers don't have a front or back, rather they combine dual opposing passive radiators with a powerful, ultra-efficient transducer -- positioned face down -- and a new patented acoustic deflector. A 'pressure trap' eliminates distortion and sound radiates uniformly in every direction.
Both new Revolve models feature an IPX4-rating to withstand spills, rain, and pool splashes; and rugged durability to survive knocks, drops, and bumps. A quarter-twenty thread on the bottom of each makes for easy mounting on a tri-pod.
Revolve is 15.2 cm high x 8.2 cm deep, weighs a mere 0.66 kg, and provides up to 12-hours of battery life. Revolve+ is slightly bigger for more performance at 18.4 cm high x 10.5 cm deep, 0.9 kg, and up to 16-hours of playtime. Both can pair through NFC and integrate microphones to use as a speakerphone, or with Siri and Google Assistant.
The Bose Connect app can sync two SoundLinks. A new Stereo Mode enables left-right pairing and a new Party Mode lets you play the same music on both simultaneously.
Pricing and Availability: The SoundLink Revolve and SoundLink Revolve+ Bluetooth speakers are available to order for $199 and $299, respectively, and come in two colours – Triple Black and Lux Grey.
Those are amazing, more then amazing, they have to invent a new word to explain how good they sound, I got two in my living room, on the wall 60 inch Samsung 3D Smart TV, in front on the opposite side of the living room is the big couch with 2 small tables on each side, on each table I got one of those speakers paired together by NFC and Bluetooth to the TV and the iPhones and iPad so if talking to Siri or Answering a Call the TV stops till I hang up and it resumes. What I'm trying to say is that before all that I already had a great entertainment center also Bose 5.1 Dolby speakers on tall stands at all 4 corners, the base speaker was behind the couch which is still there but I have disconnected the other small speakers because it actually sound way better without them, all I kept is the base and the 2 SoundLink Revolve speakers ( sounds 10 times better then the 5.1 Dolby Bose system that I had before ) and if you ask me, one would have been more then enough !!! It's just that the last 7 years I'm one of many Beta tester for new products that are due to come out. So about 4 months ago I this speakers, got those 2 and also the smaller one for the office which I can pretty much say that sounds just as good!
