Wistron has landed some orders for Apple's next generation iPhone, according to a recent EDN report via DigiTimes. This would make it the third manufacturer used by Apple to make its smartphones.
While Wistron wouldn't comment on the report, it did announce that investment at its subsidiary in Kunshan, China would be increased from $135 million USD to $200 million. The Kunshan plant has been focused on production of mobile devices.
Wistron will utilize its expertise gained from its previous production of iPhone 5c for the manufacture of the next generation iPhone products, noted the paper. Foxconn Electronics and Pegatron are currently the two iPhone producers.
Apple isn't expected to unveil its new devices until fall of 2017. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.

Right after he forces his own companies to manufacture here and his son stops bringing people from other countries to work at his plants. Then maybe, he should focus on apple.
