The regulatory markings and 'iPhone' label on the back of the jet black iPhone 7 are peeling off with certain skin protectors, according to reports that have surfaced on MacRumors.

Forum member kjparfekt recently noticed the issue when installing a Slickwraps protector. "The writing actually came off onto the clear Slickwraps just like pulling silly putty off of a newspaper comic strip. If you're one of the people hoping to keep their phone in brand new out of the box condition this might cause a problem for you."

Others appear to have experienced a similar problem. ksyu comments, "Same with my JB 7+. I had a normal protector on for about 1 minute and took it off. The writing peels right off."

Yep. Same thing happened with my Jet Black 7 Plus when I peeled off my Bodyguardz skin. The writing still exists on the back of the phone though. Not really a big deal

Jet Black looks like plastic in person. If they were smart they would have used stainless steel Space Black from the Apple Watch. It's more durable and they could have etched in a subtle logo and writing with the same effect that's on the Jet Black iPhone 7

Honestly I'm convinced that it is plastic. And feels plastic and I'm pretty sure the sim tray is plastic (I may be wrong about the latter)

That's why I don't bother with skins, it peeled off the coating of my space gray Apple Watch leaving it looking weird part aluminum part space gray. Learned my lesson with skins.

Luckily,im buying the matte black.i dont know what so special with that jet black?testing the display model in machines,the body full with fingerprints,dirt.so who still considered which one to pick,I recommended the matte black.look much gorgeous and less clean maintenance.
