Rumor Claims iPhone 7 Will Support Fast Charging

Posted August 16, 2016 at 1:22am by iClarified
A new rumor claims that the iPhone 7 Plus will support fast charging. Posted by @the_malignant the prediction reads:

#Apple according to the source (导航i世界) seems #iphone7 will support #fastcharge at least 5V2A

In actuality, the iPhone already supports charging at 2.1 Amps as we've previously reported. Reaching this rate requires using the 12W iPad charger instead of the 5W charger shipped with the iPhone.

Perhaps Apple will include a 12W charger with the new iPhone 7 instead of the lower powered one. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.
