A new report purports a welcomed increase in battery capacity for Apple's next generation iPhone.
OnLeaks tweeted out the alleged battery capacity of the iPhone 7 as revealed by a source earlier today.
Pretty reliable (not 100% but almost...) source told me #iPhone7 battery = 1960mAh (#iPhone6s = 1715mAh)
This is significantly more capacity than a rumor from May which predicted a minor bump from 1715mAh to 1735mAh.
Customers have long wished for a bit more battery life out of the iPhone. Currently, heavy users are better served by the iPhone 6s Plus which does last significantly longer on a charge. Would 14% more battery life be a selling point for you? Let us know in the comments!

Ta da! Here I am! Miss me? Apple should do away with the battery completely, I wear 5 ampys on me all the time (two on my legs, two on my arms, you guess the fifth...) and I generate so much power that I actually plug myself into the power grid twice a day and sell my excess electricity to the city. Apple could use the space made available by removing the battery for innovation, like a portable mini-espresso maker! Suck on that, Samsung.
The only trolls are the ones who assumes innocents like me to be considered one when all I've ever done was offering people help and ONLY when people say they hate the battery problems which in this case, no except that I wanted to clarify and clear up the assumption here since you mentioned me. Not to mention Apple does have space for innovation especially in iOS 10 and not to mention, headphone jack gone for more space of new features.
Tell that to the actual size of the batteries that you're obviously ignoring which means the capacity they store based on that alone: 5- 1440 mAh. 6s-1715 mAh.
What do you expect in terms of keeping up with the latest technology other than battery? Not to say it's obvious of what you're saying but yeah except no one in their right mind would make just that change.
I said iPhone 6 battery, not 6S battery. Learn to read properly. Plus I was obviously exaggerating. The 6S is 14.28% smaller than the "iPhone 7", while the 6 is 8.75% smaller.
