Apple is giving away the Day One 2 diary and journaling app for free via the Apple Store app.

Capture life as you live it. From once-in-a-lifetime events to everyday moments, Day One's elegant interface makes journaling about your life a simple pleasure.

Day One 2 regularly costs $9.99 so if you're interested in it, you should grab it while you can.

To get the app for free, first download and install the Apple Store app from here.

Download Steps:
● Choose the Featured tab at the bottom of the screen and scroll down to reveal the special offer.
● Tap the Union icon then tap the green Download now for free button at the bottom of the screen.
● You will be brought to the App Store application. Tap the Redeem button at the top right of the screen.
● The app will now begin to install.

The free app download happens within the "Apple Store App". Download "Apple Store" from App Store. Open "Apple Store", change country to United States under accounts. Still in "Apple Store", at the bottom tabs, select "Featured". Scroll down to "Featured Accessories", just after "Featured Accessories", you will find the free app. Follow instructions on iClarified post.

I tried that, but changing country / region also requires me to update payment information which i can't get pass through since i dont have US Credit cards :(

You have to follow the tutorial described in the post! You can't just go to the appstore, you have to go thru the Apple Store app and redeem a code to get the app for free.

If this does work for you then trying changing to the US store the store (It does not show on the Irish store so it may not be on other stores either)

You just need to change the store to US in the Apple Store app and then redeem. After that, change back to Malaysia. I've just done that. I'm from Malaysia. It works in all countries as well.

you should've mention that the "apple store" app only works on Canada :(

You just need to change the store to US in the Apple Store app and then redeem. After that, change back to your country. I've just done that. I'm from Malaysia. It works in all countries as well.

I tried that. But i require me to update billing and payment information which i can't since i don't have card to that country.
