Apple has signed a massive deal for Landbank Investments' planned Central & Wolfe campus, a curvaceous, 777,000-square-foot project at Central Expressway and Wolfe Road in Sunnyvale, reports the Silicon Valley Business Journal.

This week, sources with knowledge of the transaction confirmed to me that the deal is completed. Terms of the deal couldn’t immediately be learned, but I’m led to believe that Apple has leased, not purchased, the project. It's unknown when it could start construction.

The campus is large enough for over 3,000 employees and comes after Apple has already acquired a 43-acre development site in North San Jose for $138 million and a 27-acre site fronting Highway 101 at Charcot Avenue for $168.5 million.

The 18-acre Landbank campus approved last year will transform nine buildings from the 60s and 70s into a striking structure that seems quite Apple-like.
