A new report from reputable leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks), suggests that Apple may launch a smaller 'iPhone 6c' alongside the new iPhone 6s.
Blass tweeted the following message earlier today:
Sounds like iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, and 6c will all arrive concurrently.
A smaller 4-inch iPhone 6c has been rumored for quite some time; however, recent reports have suggested the device won't arrive until next year, with some claiming the model is scrapped.
Blass has consistently leaked accurate information in the past so there may be a chance that Apple unveils an iPhone 6c in September. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.
I still have my iphone 4 as a backup to my iphone 4S. Since IOS 8 my 4S has never worked as well as it did on 7. My requests to Apple to fix it have gone awry so maybe they really do like to push customers to new phones by making the old ones slow and fiddly. I would definitely buy a new 4 inch but would never buy it outright after Apple messed up my 4S. However on a plan maybe I would..
and why they wont is because the cellular companies want a cheap apple phone where as they give it away for a contract $$$$$$
until apple gets into the cellular business they will do what the cellular companies want !
Still have my 5s didn't upgrade because they didn't give the unlocked version when selling the locked for the cell providers ! If they do it again I'll just stick with my 5s another year............. Theirs no reason to hold back unlocked iphones while selling the locked ones online on release night.
Regarding size, as it fitted on my shirt's pocket horizontally, the iPhone4S was the most comfortable version of the iPhone... I Have a 6 Plus now and, if they release an smaller version like the 4S again, I switch immediately!!
the 4inch form factor will still sell, I prefer the bigger screens but there are a lot of other people that are used to the size or don't want anything to big, so this covers a larger audience.
Yes i do agree with you. It is just a waste of time and money a long its way.
Now? seriously? who is going to want to buy a smaller version of the I phone 6 it does not make any sense to me at all what so ever. But oh well it is what it is.
Agree 200%. I downgraded also from a 6 back to a 5s. My mothers 4s would be best, but it doesn't fit modern everyday use with TomTom etc.
Just give me latest specs, touch ID, good camera on a small screen iOS device. I'll buy it in an instant.
You do realize the only cheap part about the c iPhones is the shell used. The 5c inside had metal aluminum parts with the exact same screen, plus the c versions do as good as the 6c but little improvement like if it gets as little as bending resist for example, but since Apple did so much for the 5s after the 5, I'd bet the 6c will do as good as the 6s. Heck it still gets more than a long iPod. Long story short, I loved the small and never failing 5c and 6c isn't an exception, but really, why is it not right to have small screen? I still like it. 6 is a bit too big and 4s is a bit too small. Phablets just don't seem right. I want one thing or another that fits the right size like not putting a tablet in my pocket.
I knew it. It wouldn't make sense to release an iPhone with a c after the s version from how long a company would hold onto a phone with old parts for 2 years before making a cheaper version (since 6c was rumored to be released next year which would mean 2 years after the 6 was released).
