Apple has starting awarding scholarships to WWDC 2015 and notifying those selected via email.
Scholarship applicants needed to build and submit an app that showcased their creativity and technical skills. The Mac app or iOS app had to be written in Objective-C and Swift, or written entirely in Swift. Applicants needed to be 13 and up and were asked to include proof of enrollment from their school or proof of membership from a listed STEM organization.
Apple expanded the program this year to offer 350 scholarship spots.
