These are instructions on how to enable and use 'Do Not Disturb' on the iPhone. Do Not Disturb lets you easily silence calls, alerts, and notifications. You can schedule the feature at specific times and choose contacts you don't want to have silenced.
Step One
Tap to launch Settings from your SpringBoard.
Step Two
Select Do Not Disturb from the Settings menu.
Step Three
To have Do Not Disturb automatically turn on at set time, toggle the Scheduled switch to the ON position.
Tap the From/To button and set a start time and stop time. Tap the button at the top left to return to the Do Not Disturb settings menu.
Step Four
Tap the Allow Calls From button. From this menu you can choose to allow calls from select individuals while in Do Not Disturb mode. You can allow calls from Everyone, No One, Favorites, or a group that you have set up in the Contacts app. Make your selection then tap the button at the top left to return to the Do Not Disturb menu.
Step Five
Note that you also have the option to enable repeated calls. When turned on, a second call from the same person within three minutes will not be silenced.
Step Six
You can also choose to only enable Do Not Disturb while the phone is locked, or if you set the Silence option to Always, incoming calls and notifications will silenced while the iPhone is either locked or unlocked.
Step Seven
You can toggle the Manual switch to turn on Do Not Disturb from the Settings menu or we can use a handy Control Center shortcut to turn on the feature from anywhere.
Press the Home button to return to the SpringBoard then swipe up from the bottom bezel to bring up Control Center.
Tap the Crescent Moon icon to turn on Do Not Disturb and silence your calls, alerts, and notifications. When running, Do Not Disturb will display a crescent moon icon in the status bar.
