Check out these screenshots of Apple's new Music App. The app was just released to developers as part of iOS 8.4 beta. You can learn more about the beta release here.
As you can see the app has an all-new design with two tabs: My Music and Playlists. Albums and playlists you’ve recently added are now at the top of your library. You can personalize playlists by adding an image and description and start playing an album directly from the album list. A new MiniPlayer lets you see what's playing and control playback while browsing your music. A tap on the MiniPlayer opens Now Playing. There's also a new Up Next view that makes it simpler to find out which songs will play next. You can reorder, add, or skip songs whenever you like. Finally, there's a new Global Search feature that lets you search from anywhere in the Music app.
They still refuse to separate music videos from the music app. It's so annoying so have music videos in the middle of the track listing for an album. I know we can just change the music video to "Movies", etc. but... I'm OCD. :-(
doh
I didnt even know iOS had a music app. Now I do. Maybe shoulve read the manual. But still cant figure out on iOS 8.1.2 where to find music app. Not in appstore. Or lotsa there but non looks decent. I thought need iPod to play music. And only used iPhone since 3gs.
So you're saying you bought the phone with same layout like every phone would out of the box but don't clearly see it on the bottom right or even a pinch of red square (since that's in the size of grouped apps)?
Hmmm...i usually jb all my stuff as buy and copy old settings. Both ipads and iphones. No such icon on none of my devices. Maybe never even though of it as do have 1600 cds of music on my server which can listen via idevice on my stereos or or on the road if no radio available.
Wish they'd make that damn alphabet "quick find" on the right bigger, so you can actually select the letter and not keep opening the adjacent songs, C'mon apple for gods sake, no one has matchstick fingers ~~~~~ do it with the contacts list as well :{
Did they fix the broken "repeat 1" behavior in playlists? Since iTunes 11, next and previous both do the same thing, start the song you're on over. There's no way to scroll through a playlist in Repeat 1 mode. iTunes 10.7 is the last version that worked. Music on the phone held out for a while, and then they broke it, too.
