Easy to understand, its Just marketing. In few months after the release date, Some company's will launch case with waterproof or even also apple will launch as well.

Macbook is made with decent coating that happens on purpose. Apple watch is twice as strong than that. So technically you don't. Scratch resistant that means it takes a fall unlike your think skull! lawl
