Quanta Computer, a Taiwan based manufacturer, will begin mass production of the Apple Watch in January 2015, according to Apple Daily via GforGames.
Quanta has allegedly received Apple’s heads-up and has begun making preparations (which involve increasing its worker head count to 40,000). Even more, it is said that Apple and Quanta have entered a deal which prohibits the Taiwanese company from manufacturing/assembling smartwatches for Apple’s rival OEMs.
Previous reports suggested that both Quanta and Inventec would handle Apple Watch production; however, it appears as though Inventec may have been dropped for the time being.
The Apple Watch was just displayed publicly for the first time at the Colette boutique in Paris. To check out all the models that will be available at launch, click here.
Am I the only one who is not the least bit interested in the apple watch? I don't care for wristwatches and I see no reason to start wearing one especially when I already have a nice iPhone 6 Plus in my pocket.
Yes. Anytime I forget to call anyone, I can have a reminder right where it's out and on my wrist then I can not freak them out then, use it as a remote for Apple TV and itunes, use it like my iPhone when dead even when working on something, it can track health and show results on iPhone, cheat on tests when I can draw the answer in a test then they draw back, but better yet, maybe maps can remind me where to drive and when to get to the desired lane on the watch if it were to do that. Wait until you use it.
