$20 may seem small compared to $400. But that is 20 per month and 400 is upfront costs If you think about it over a 2 year period of a phone life span 400/24=16.66. So actually you will end up spending more on the backup then you would on the phone. Assuming you bought the top of the line plan

How so? Dropbox Pro is $9.99/mo or $99/yr for 1TB. iCloud is more than double that.

Whoever said we shouldn't complain about paying apple to back up our info, acts like they are not aware that you can back up for FREE using any pc/mac via usb. I really don't know why people use iCloud for these purposes. On most lower DSL plans the speeds are much worse than using USB back up specially with phones of 32gb and higher.

disaster can break all your local backups even you have 20 external harddrives at home. remote backup at least 1 site would be safer.

We're not talking here about a simple backup! Come on, we're in the 2010's... We need sync across multiple devices! If you do not need to have a cloud backup, I would really recomend you guys try Bit Torrent Sync...

Apparently you are. What's so insane if you get paid $20 for doing work at home like me?

You're right Bill Jobs, but not everyone likes to blow homeless men for $20 an hour. I'm just saying.
