Dr. Dre Accepts Tim Cook's ALS Ice Bucket Challenge [Video]

Posted August 19, 2014 at 4:29am by iClarified
Dr. Dre has accepted Apple CEO Tim Cook's ALS Ice Bucket challenge. Cook nominated Dre after accepting a challenge from SVP Phil Schiller.

Apple CEO Tim Cook challenged Dr. Dre to the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness of ALS. Dre accepted. Today, on the set of their new film, Director Gary Gray helped him complete the challenge. Dre nominated Eminem, Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar.

The ice bucket challenge is an effort to promote awareness and raise money for ALS disease, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. Once 'challenged' you must pour a bucket of ice water over yourself and then challenge some of your own friends. If you fail to do the challenge within 24 hours, you must donate money to the cause.

Take a look at Dr. Dre's video below!

It's a lot of water to waste, don't you think? I mean, if a million people did this challenge, and used a million buckets of water, 5 million people could drink from that water, at least one drink each. 2500 children on the african continent alone die of thirst, DAILY. Not counting the other third world continents. This water could save 100,000 lives at least. Be smart: donate money, take the challenge and use recycled water or something else. Ray
