Apple iPad Pro 13 Concept Running OS X [Video]

Apple iPad Pro 13 Concept Running OS X [Video]

Posted February 14, 2014 at 7:15pm by iClarified
Check out this new concept for a larger iPad that runs Mac OS X by SET Solution.

This time we've tried to imagine a new way to work with a tablet. So here there's our CG iPad Pro (13 inches screen) with Apple OS X as operative system! Now you can take your works wherever you want!

The new iPad Pro is really powerful, with a bigger retina display, and with a desktop OS: all your favourite programs in a 13-inch table... cool, right?

Apple is predicted to unveil a larger iPad; however, it will likely run iOS, not OS X. It would probably be targeted at education and professional users.

You can not compare. If you payed attention to the battery tablet post, you'll see ipad air and mini blowing everyone else away, even your blown comment. No need to play stupid.

What I would want is a MacBook Air (running OS X) with a removable display (an iPad Air running iOS) probably having some limited shared files would be fine by me. :)

Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is completely different from iPad, both run on different OS. Its like comparing a phone to another one and saying that xyz comp. copied it from abc comp. Totally insane...look what've written. Technology is improving day by day, All most all company fantasized by Apple, because it comes with a new things in the market, like Siri, FaceTime, FingerPrint (Touch ID) any many more.

The main thing that we forgot is the price tag, we are thinking on something about $3,500, just because we feel Apple is special and people that really know about this things are the ones that should really get it.

Maybe this one still holds ideas up its sleeve some more, remember MacBook Air and pro, well it's happening to ipad now to see what apple can do for creativity other than apps but we'll see, we don't know until we try it unless they weren't successful before (which they were).

I agree that you should NEVER put the Mac OS on the iPad. That's what everybody is doing, not what Apple wants to do!

I understand the point of having OSX on touch device - doesn't work since its not designed to one, but when adding keyboard and mouse in its like laptop. In that case OSX is fully justified, but in this concept there is big fault - the iPad Pro should have dual OS - so when hooked in Keyboard+mouse it asks to boot osx but when used without its like any iPad running with iOS.... So suddenly we have touch-device which can transform into laptop-grade computer while keeping the touch-stuff separated.... perfect! No need to carry both iPad and MBA around. iPad Pro - perfect holiday computer - and - iPad.

That would be fantabulous, specially with OSX in it, they would run the competition out of town.

I think apple has lost their mind. What's the point. It's an interesting concept but makes no point.

For artists it makes PERFECT sense. I want to interact with photoshop, take notes, scribble etc - but want my full OS with me. When I dock - I have a keyboard and keep at it. IOS can't do it at a full pro level.
