Ciccarese Design has posted a concept comparison of the 4-inch iPhone 5s and the rumored 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6.
The resolution of screen allows the icons reorganization on the springboard. More details are clearly visible from the images.
Below you can see their resolutions: ● iPhone 6 4.7″ 750×1338 px Aspect ratio 16:9 ● iPhone 6 5.5″ 878×1568 px Aspect ratio 16:9 ● iPhone 5S 4″ 640×1138 px Aspect ratio 16:9
If Apple releases a 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 as currently rumored, the big question will be the screen resolution. KDB Daewoo Securities predicted a screen resolutions of 1920x1080 and 2272x1280, respectively. Display Search predicted screen resolutions of 1600x900 and 1920x1080.
Take a look at the images below and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
I really love the edge to edge screen idea, I hope there is truly some way to do this. If anyone can figure out a way, it's Apple. I also like the convex shape of the back, it's kinda neat. Plus, it would make it easier to pick up such a thin phone off of a flat surface.
I've been hoping for a larger iPhone, though I must know admit the 5.5 seems too large even for my taste. 4.7 should be just fine. This 5S feels good too. Hopefully they'll retain this perfect design they have now with larger screen. The thinness of if might not allow for a longer lasting battery so it might not be a good idea and edge to edge sucks. It would be inconvenient.
People keep doing renderings of an edge to edge iphone or any other smart phone, hoping that it will really come out like that, but it will NOT happen, not in the near future
Apple made this, it'd be full of crap. Didn't they look down on Galaxy big screen by claiming that it was stupid to make a phone that requires 2 hands to use?
But they have no choice but to make the next IPhone bigger cause that is what people are demanding these days. Apple has been criticized for making their IPhone screen too small as compared to their competition and that is why some people have jump ship to an Android or a Windows phone. If their was no demand and complaints by people of wanting a bigger screen IPhone, than Apple might stick to 4 in.
Still no explanation to why it's curved which explains why we go back to curved screens except this time for the phones, other than that, edge to edge doesn't look that good, what if shattering the edges immediately ruins it?
