iPhone 6 Metal Frame Allegedly Leaked, Suggests Thin Device

Even though the iPhone 5s was released a few months ago, we have already seen many rumors for Apple's next generation iPhone 6. Apple leaker C-Tech, who is either a hit or a miss, posted the photos below of what appears to be the iPhone 6 metal housing.

The photos show the device being very thin, (as rumors have pointed to, perhaps 6mm) making the iPhone Air name rather appropriate. You can also see the larger back frame, lining up to other rumors that the iPhone will feature a larger display around 4.7 to 5 inches.

Obviously the authenticity of these photos cannot be verified, but do you think the images are legit?

I really dont think apple makes a bigger screen, Tim Cook already said he doesnt like the idea on competing on screen sizes due to the different products they have... want a bigger screen? Get an iPad Mini! Making a bigger screen may reduce sales on the iPads. But we'll see what September 2014 brings to all of us.

Has anyone seen Samsung Galaxy S4 mini. Samsung continues to take the look of its Ace line (which looks like iPhone) for a reason to confuse buyer still neglecting the courts of course -- so why are people mad over Apple with iWatch and this big ass-trick phone?

How is this designed immediately when Apple also didn't even confirm anything yet, I even doubt it being thinner than it already is eliminating what now fits on the sides, if there is one thing people need most, it's making 3 different iPhone 6 sizes, a 4", 4.5" and 5".

they probably can make it thinner if there is more real estate going wider. hope they just shove in a bigger battery. apple can't keep anything secret. too many supply chains. can't control. not to say it may just be a prototype that never makes the market. sooner or later the samsung and iPhone will be exactly the same phone as they are merging together haha

iPhone is graphite, samsucks is plastic, not to mention how the front entire side of both phones, the screen on samsucks covers 85% of it, the phone, is 75%.

Some people want it this big, I agree but at the same time it's for the fans begging for it, hopefully though this is one of the 3 sizes ( 4", 4.8", & 5.5")

If Apple were a secret keeper, the iPhone 6 would be confirmed after the release, they didn't confirm the looks yet so this is just a first concept of the entire phone.

You didn't quite understand what I said. Apple is a secret keeper especially for prototypes. This picture isn't anything but what they want us to think for. Or what we want to see So no, I don't believe this is a prototype and the secret will be kept long until someone in the distribution channels takes pictures if massive shipping as for the 5c

And what am saying is they simply don't let pictures of prototypes out. Precisely because theyre prototypes. Which implies a very early stage during which they have quite great control over secrecy

But if thats the cam, where is the flash cutout? I don't think the cam is cut out on that frame. That circle may just be a mount IMO

Maybe the hole is for the power button, the aux hole can't go back on top anymore, it's like working backwards, if it were to be on top though, it's like saying apple will go back to the old home button to use on their next s model, so yeah fake.

It must be a different form factor ("teardrop" design maybe...). Even iPhone 5 is so thin that it's quite hard to pick it up from a flat surface. If it were any thinner, it would be very inconvenient. Also, I really hope Apple won't make such a huge phone... :( I'd love to see a little bigger display, like 4.2", but please, do not make a samsung-like frying pan... :/

I have an iPod Touch 5th Generation (which is 6mm thin) and I haven't had a problem with that.

Yes, but exactly because it has a teardrop design, unlike the angular-shaped iPhone 4/4S/5/5S! If you look at the picture, it shows a similar angular form factor - which IMHO wouldn't be too good at this level of thinness.

That's not an iPhone frame. Way too big to be. The 6 won't be that big. Look at the size as pops send to the guys hand and thumb. That's an android frame most likely.

Blame Samsung for waking up the elephant in the room. Samsung started a war from which the outcome is ugly for, for them. Samsung does not hold some key technologies.

They kind of do hold some keys technologies in a kind of way. Not owning their own mobile OS is one giant disadvantage. And yes, they started a war which only had them proliferating fake-ass innovation and loosing trials. As for Amazon trying to compare their kindle to an ipad air.... These all anti-apple marketing aims for "value-me because i do better/more than the other" but it actually says "I can't compete by myself"
