Apple CEO Tim Cook has written an article about workplace equality for the Wall Street Journal.
At Apple, we try to make sure people understand that they don't have to check their identity at the door. We're committed to creating a safe and welcoming workplace for all employees, regardless of their race, gender, nationality or sexual orientation.
As we see it, embracing people's individuality is a matter of basic human dignity and civil rights. It also turns out to be great for the creativity that drives our business. We've found that when people feel valued for who they are, they have the comfort and confidence to do the best work of their lives.
Cook urges senators to support the Employment Nondiscrimination Act and asks the House of Representatives to bring it to the floor for a vote.
Good for you, Tim Cook. However, what has this story got to do with technology? Does this mean that we can finally expect to see some gay-friendly iPads released?
Maybe it shows how he cares like the way he is with technology, unlike what you said about it being towards technology, he didn't tell iclarified to post this did he, it's the owner of the sites decision, so what does tim have to do with posting things here?
easy to say meaningless words, workplace is still too white and what about volume buttons for left handed people. What about people with larger hands too big for tiny screen with huge profit margin ha
That's an example of pushing phone process, why have two hands for a phone anyway? Thay aren't tablet like nokia phones aren't cameras yet both samshit and microsuck does this logic, this is why galackxies are big!
Where are the comments on this article? Or is it to decent and intelligent to comment on? I have to congratulate Mr. Cook. Rises my respect for him. Hope it permeates to his associates overseas....
