CTech has posted alleged photos of the iPad 5 and iPad mini 2 rear shells in gold.

We just got a set of golden and deep-space gray iPad5 and iPad mini2. This confirmation golden edition iPad5 and iPad mini2 exist but also further confirmed, iPad5 and iPad mini2 will have champagne gold, deep space gray and metallic silver three colors.

Apple is widely expected to unveil its new iPads on October 22nd. The iPad 5 is said to feature a design more similar to the iPad mini with narrow side bezels and the iPad mini 2 is said to get a Retina Display.

At this time it is unclear if Apple is going to add a fingerprint scanner to the new devices but this video indicates it might be possible.

Still think it is possible. Maybe not these pics that appear to be fake and a lot darker than the champagne gold color of the iPhone 5S. But going off the iPhone 5S colors the iPads (regular and mini) and maybe even the Macbooks (pro and air)... might just be gold/white, silver/white and gray/black. Cool if they would be, but to me personally it is more important if the iPad Mini will have Retina display or not. If not then it is not even worth buying yet, whatever color it comes in.
