Samsung has announced that it plans to launch a new smartphone with a curved display in October, reports Reuters.
Curved displays are an early stage in screen evolution which is shifting to bendable or foldable designs, eventually allowing mobile and wearable gadgets to take on new forms that could radically change the high-end smartphone market.
"We plan to introduce a smartphone with a curved display in South Korea in October," Samsung's mobile business head of strategic marketing D.J. Lee said on Wednesday at an event launching the Galaxy Note 3 smartphone in Seoul.
In January, Samsung demonstrated a prototype which featured a flexible screen that extended from the side of a device. You can see that prototype below; however, it's likely Samsung's new device will look like this.
Shame they didn't use that technology for the Galaxy Gear instead of the brick of a watch they did launch. They could have been way more innovative rather than rush a product to market especially since Apple have already lost the plot so badly.
So, 1 hand to hold the phone, another hand to hold the screen... Eventually you have to use your D*ck to use the touch screen. Ladies can use their boobs for Multi touch...
