Carrier sources are reporting that the iPhone 5s will be in very short supply when it launches on Friday, according to AllThingsD.
Sources at multiple U.S. carriers said that the inventory of the new phone is significantly less than expected.
“We will have grotesquely unavailable inventory,” was how one carrier source put it.
Another carrier source confirmed 'extremely disappointing shipments' from Apple but also noted that demand for the iPhone 5s might be lower than expected. Apparently, the colors of the iPhone 5c have captured the eyes of customers.
The iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c will launch in stores on September 20th at 8:00 a.m.
The reason apple has made 5C Plastic is simple. They discontinued the iPhone 5 and replaced it with the 5C. The hardware is always the same, the thing is that Apple's supply of iPhone 5 was low and making the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5 metal backs will slow down production of the 5s so instead they chose to make the iPhone 5 plastic not to slow down the production of their higher end product. (duh!)
Ah yes, well known game, Apple. Keep it low so people want it even more. Fortunately, this is not 2007 so there are great phones out there other than Apple's (ironically enough, in 2007/2008 Apple was not playing this stupid game because they were confident they had a great phone).
I kind of like the gold it's not to flashy more like soft gold and its true anodized colors on the 5S which don't scratch as easy as the paint on the iPhone 5.
