MagBak Ultra Thin Mount for iPad [Kickstarter]

MagBak Ultra Thin Mount for iPad [Kickstarter]

MagBak is a new Kickstarter project to fund the 'world's thinnest mount for iPad'.

MagBak is so thin, it's difficult to guess it is a mount. It inherently mounts to most metal surfaces without adding any significant bulk or thickness to the device. For mounting on non-metal surfaces, a metal o-ring is provided to attach to the wall.

Additionally, MagBak snaps Apple’s Smart Cover neatly in place to the back of the iPad. This keeps the Smart Cover in place while the device is being handled. MagBak’s silicone texture feels great to touch while its outline has been meticulously designed for that of the fingers. MagBak grips the iPad to the surface it’s sitting on and prevents accidental slides or drops. At only half a millimeter in thickness, it raises the iPad just enough to keep the back protected when sitting on any given surface.

A pledge of $29 will get you one MagBack in your choice of six different colors to match with your Apple SmartCover. So far $13,371 has been pledged of the $15,000 goal with 42 days to go.

Take a look at the video below for more info.

Cool idea. But is there any idea of one product can fix a whole problem rather than two products? Looks too much things attached.

Will they make one for the mini as well? My wife would love this for cooking and such.
