Apple has posted a new webpage encouraging Chinese customers to use official Apple chargers following two incidents with users being shocked by their charging iPhones, reports TNW.
The translated passage reads:
When you charge your iPhone or iPad, we suggest that you use all USB power adapters with correspondingly-labeled USB cables. These adapters and cables can be purchased as individual items from Apple and authorized Apple retailers.
It's believed that a third party of knock-off chargers were responsible for the death of Ma Ailun, a flight attendant who was shocked to death while answering a phone call on her charging iPhone, and for putting Wu Jiantong into a coma by shocking him as he plugged his iPhone to charge.
