New renderings of the low cost iPhone based on recently leaked schematics have been posted online by AppleInsider.
On the left side, the volume controls are pill shaped, like the iPod touch, rather than circular, like the iPhone 5. The back corners of the device are also curved, bearing a resemblance to Apple's iPod classic. Aside from those tweaks, the anticipated handset is unmistakably an iPhone, featuring the standard home button and a 4-inch display. The leaked design is slightly thicker than an iPhone 5, and is expected to have a plastic back panel to keep costs down.
This is better than the regular iPhone, and I'll tell you why: it looks more comfortable to hold! I will have much more respect for Judy, Joni, or whatever his name is IF/WHEN he gives ergonomics a little more consideration in his design. To me that's the sign of a great designer, someone who can make something that looks beautiful AND is practical and/or comfortable to use. What the f is up with all the sharp edges on the MacBook Pro, the iPhone, the iPad!!!! I'd rather have the same functionality in something that doesn't dig into my fingers or cut into my wrists, and I cant be the only one that prizes comfort over "looking cool". But maybe I am. Oh well.
