Benchmarks for Unannounced New 13-Inch MacBook Pro Spotted in Geekbench [Chart]

Benchmarks for an unannounced new 13-inch MacBook Pro have surfaced in the Geekbench results browser, notes MacRumors.
Similar to the new Mac Pro, the notebook appears under a code name of "AAPLJ44,1". Many were expecting Apple to update the MacBook Pro lineup with Haswell processors at WWDC; however, only the MacBook Air received an update.
The machine shown in the benchmark results is running a dual-core Intel Core i5-4258U processor running at 2.4 GHz with 8 GB of RAM and a Boot ROM dated June 5. Like the Mac Pro, this MacBook Pro is running a special build of OS X Mavericks, termed Build 13A2050.
Taking a look at the chart below we can see that the new notebook features a 5-8% increase in performance as compared to the previous i5 MacBook models. Alongside this increase in speed, it's expected that the new MacBook will feature substantial battery life improvements.
