Swype Confirms Discussions With Apple Over Keyboard Technology

Swype Vice President Aaron Sheedy confirms that they've had talks with Apple over their keyboard that lets you type on a touchscreen using one continuous motion across the screen.

iFans via 9to5Mac notes that Sheedy confirmed discussions with Apple in a reddit AMA.

Swype is now owned by Nuance and was released for Android two days ago.

I tried Swype on my friend's S3 and I hated it. To each their own, I suppose.

The iPhone keyboard sucks. Having Swype will make it so much more improved.

Yes the default keyboard on iphone is unique and the best kn world. No one i has used will i like most than iphone. Iphone keyboard wins. Noway never use swipe on iphone i hate swipe.

Had this on my iPhone 5, worked great but ended up removing it because I still liked regular typing better, maybe swype is better for android phones because my note II keyboard is terrible and sometimes very laggy
