Tim Cook was against suing Samsung over its copying of Apple devices, according to a Reuters report published today. In spite of his objections, then CEO Steve Jobs was extremely upset with Samsung and initiated a "thermo-nuclear" legal war against the company.
Tim Cook, Jobs' successor as Apple chief executive, was opposed to suing Samsung in the first place, according to people with knowledge of the matter, largely because of that company's critical role as a supplier of components for the iPhone and the iPad. Apple bought some $8 billion worth of parts from Samsung last year, analysts estimate.
Apple "wants people to invent their own stuff" and "if we could get to some kind of arrangement where we could be assured that that's the case, I highly prefer to settle versus battle."
So is iPhone glass brakes even faster then Samsung galaxy s3 ( own both phones ) and apple charge as much as 150 to 200 to fix it. List Samsung phone can be fix around 100
Literally everyone resents Apple for their crybaby approach to copyright and their stifled position in the technology world. This is just a ploy to win back some of the massive face they have lost. I too am on a Apple device still but quite honestly, I have no idea why anymore.
Yeah can't say I believe him what with all of the lawsuits in the last few years under his watch... Apfelkind anyone? Like THEY posed a threat to Apple by serving up FOOD.
