MapsOpener is a new tweak by HASHBANG Productions that opens Google Maps links in the new Google Maps app for iPhone.
This simple tweak makes Google Maps links open in the new App Store app rather than the built in iOS app on iOS 5 and earlier or the Google Maps website on iOS 6.
No icons are added to the home screen. There are no screenshots.
You can get the tweak from the BigBoss Cydia Repository.
If you have Google maps, or any other map service on your phone for that matter, if you say to Siri, "transit directions to (your destination)", then your iPhone will bring up a menu of the different apps you have on your phone that you can use to navigate. Works without a jailbreak.
It's been miss/hit for me. Google Maps has a larger, existing database of locations in it, so searching for stuff, especially in smaller cities can quickly become frustrating with them missing from the new Apple Maps. It was on Google Maps, but its not found on Apple Maps now. Also sometime the navigation if off, when I mean "off" it's *really* off. I just decided to start using Waze since it utilizes multiple databases for searching (google, bing, yelp, foursquare, etc) for navigation. That's just my experience though...
