Apple will unveil a 13-inch Retina Display MacBook Pro at a media event which will likely take place on October 23rd, according to a 'consistently reliable' 9to5Mac source. The event may also see the launch of a smaller iPad and updated iMacs.
This new 13-inch MacBook Pro with a Retina Display is said to pick up the thinner and lighter enclosure of the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display that was released in June.
The new 13-inch MacBook Pro will be sold in two configurations, with differing processors and storage, and will be available for purchase soon after introduction.
The new notebook will be sold at a higher price than the current 13-inch MacBook and is codenamed D1.
I just replaced my 2010 13" macbook pro though I knew this was coming out soon. I don't think i can do away with an in built DVD/CD drive and ethernet port yet. The lightness of the new pro in interesting but yet still i need my in built rom because i'm a sucker in carrying too many things and most importantly my ethernet port which i almost use everyday. Put those back and i'm game.
