If you are planning to purchase an iPhone 5 you may want to order a nano-SIM adapter before it arrives.
Noosy has a three adapter set which features a nano-SIM to micro-SIM adapter, a nano-SIM to standard-SIM adapter, and a micro-SIM to standard-SIM adapter.
The adapters are available on Amazon for a few dollars. You can also grab a nano-SIM cutter if you're looking for an easy way to cut down your micro-SIM.
Um you forget that these are useful for T-Mobile users. T-Mobile will carry nano sims in november I think, but I would rather use my iPhone 5 once I get it hopefully on the 21st (preorder)
because if you click on the link it takes you to amazon and he gets paid if you are dumb to buy an adapter. now the cutter is useful in the event that you want to keep your sim card for some reason (like you buy the phone used on ebay and it does not come with a sim card) but the adapter is only for those who have a nano sim and needs to go up in size.
Right now it's kind of pointless, but as soon as you can buy an unlocked iPhone 5 (or convince AT&T to unlock yours) you could use this method to cut a mico or regular sim from TMobile or some other company that does not stock nano sims yet.
Just go on ebay and look up iPhone 5 unlock and there are numerous services that charge between $10-$40 for all at&t iphone imei unlocks (hit me up if you need a link)
international IPhone unlocked ones come with no sim inside them
and carriers wont have any nano sim soon
i can understand the cutter ,,,,, but still i dont know why the hell any one would need an adapter
if some one can explain it to us i would be thankful
:)
In case you break your phone and need to use a backup phone. Having an adapter allows you to use your nano sim in an older phone while keeping the same number/service. Not every phone will have nano sims immediately.
