SAI charts the average iPhone selling price over the past five years revealing a steady price of over $600.
The iPhone turns five this week. One of the most impressive things about the iPhone's five year run is that the average selling price of the phone has remained just about the same around $600, notes Horace Dediu of Asymco. Meanwhile, Apple's rivals pull in less than $400 per device.
Iphone is a quality product, just like any good product in market consumers appreciate its value and stay loyal to its updates. I had every iphone since the first generation and never regretted that paid every last penny to get one, and also bought stock for $82 when they were just around . Apple was able to go so far because its product quality and reliability, they realize that the best customers are not the one who walks in to the doors every day but the ones who are repeat. Just like Mercedes , BMW, AUDI, Toyota, Nissan ... all this companies are committed to make things that you buy once and keep it forever. However Apple found the best marketing ever- to give consumers same every year with updates and new design which will be slightly different and will include revolution and excitement just like 1-Touch screen,2-beautyfull design,3 speed,4 best screen resolution 5 the SIRI artificial intelligence in your hands, iphone 5 will probably start making me morning coffee :)
I'd imagine if they're going to increase the screen size, they'll also increase the price. I imagine it will jump by about $100. That said, I imagine everyone will jump on it, anyway, just because of the 4G/LTE functionality.
