Jean Michel Jarre has created the world's tallest iPod dock that stands 11 feet tall and costs $560,000. The AeroDream One is a mammoth version of the AeroSystem One iPod dock.
The system delivers 10,000 watts of power and can be connected to other devices via USB and headphone jack. It uses five separate amplifiers (subwoofer, 2 midrange and 2 high end) and is rated from 25Hz to 20kHz.
"With the progress of technology, the conditions of recording music in the studio have advanced considerably, whereas the means of listening in general have not ceased to regress: the vinyl has been replaced by the CD, largely inferior in quality, which has now given way to even more low-grade MP3 files. We have progressively lost our emotional rapport with sound."
Pre-orders are starting now and delivery is promised in six months. You can choose between chrome, black or white color schemes.

So he takes the time to complain about the quality of MP3s and then builds a device that will play... MP3s?

People consider Vinyl as an analog sound storage (like tapes), but CD is digital. Of course, digitalization of audio make it loss quality (that's why they say vinyl is better). Sampling is ALWAYS better in analog devices. A really good vinyl reader kicks all CD-Readers' asses.

Not when it comes to your local disco. Unless you live in a shitty small town, most large clubs like those in Atlanta, Chicago, NY, etc, all still use vinyl. If you are listening to the Beatles, yeah use a cd because your record player proba lynis a piece of shit. But if you a mixing it up in a club, us dj's prefer vinyl.
