Apple Releases iOS 4.1 Beta to Developers [Update x2]

Apple has announced to developers that iOS SDK and iOS 4.1 beta are now available from the iPhone Dev Center.

Apps built with iOS SDK 4.1 beta should only be tested on devices running iOS 4.1. Make sure to read the Xcode 3.2.4 Readme and the iOS SDK 4.1 beta Release Notes before installing and downloading these new releases.

The SDK build number is 10M2304 and the firmware build number is 8B5080c.

Hopefully some of the false reception readings and proximity sensor issues will be resolved in this update. Developers please let us know your experiences in the comments...

Changes:
● Signal Bars seem to be fixed and are taller
● New Baseband (02.07.01)
● Game Center is back with new look (see screenshot)
● Camera Switch and Flash buttons reposition in landscape mode (see screenshot)
● You can now choose to add Favorite as voice or FaceTime.
● Spell Check can be turned off in Settings
● FaceTime and Game Center Parental Controls
● Full Bluetooth AVRCP Support

facetime is already in the parental control on ios 4.0.1

I know what it says in the article about the changes that will be made but does anyone know if they will also be fixing the problems with the virtual keyboard? Since ios 4 came out the number of typos has increased and the keyboard does not respond as well as in ios 3. So I was just wondering if anyone knew because I really hope it gets fixed.

Wrong. Get your facts straight. Baseband means unlock. New baseband means unlock may need to be reworked only if they closed the hole in the previous. Jailbreak has nothing to do with baseband

Dude just don't update until more info comes out. Also store your shsh with firmware umbrella. No need to be jailbroken to do that

where did you read a couple days? and why would it be in a couple days even though 4.1 isn't out in a couple days, they can still make changes, this is just a beta

Comex's new jailbreak will likely be released for 4.0.1 which is released tomorrow. 4.1 which will probly hit in September, will be a whole new ballgame. I'm not holding my breath for geohot on that one.
